My name is Viola, and I am in my mid-twenties. It’s been two months since I moved from the Midwest to Illyria, NJ, and I still haven’t made a single friend. Thankfully, I live in a beautiful house with three roommates: Sebastian, my boyfriend, Fabian, an old classmate from the Midwest, and Toby. I will write here about my lonely life, and post recipes, keeping you up to date with what goes on in my kitchen. Please leave comments! It would make my day.

Hi Voila, I’m a New Yorker transplanted in Santa Cruz, Ca… not too shabby. Hope New Jersey grows on you. A coupla things.. 1) Be sure to have a knish.. I’m sure somewhere there has to to be a Jewish deli so you can try one. Out of everything I miss about the east coast, knishes and the New York Mets are what I miss the most. 2)Be sure to catch “Boardwalk Empire” it takes place in Atlantic City, New Jersey
Oooh, knish is good! I love carbs in general. Hadn’t heard of Boardwalk Empire, gotta check it out. My boyfriend and I still get a kick out of recognizing spots on route 1 and other places where the Sopranos was filmed. Hope all is well in Santa Cruz! Let me know if you want to switch locations 🙂
